English: U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Defelice rewards Fin, an explosives canine, after sniffing out a planted device during a training session on Camp Eggers, Kabul, Afghanistan, July 25. Sgt. Defelice and Fin, a Belgian Malamar, are attached to the 125th Military Police Company based at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, but they are assigned to the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan headquartered in the Afghan capital city. Their primary mission is to provide force protection measures through explosive detection. Being in the capital city they often get called to support visits by high level U.S. and Afghan military, political and diplomatic VIPs. |
