Description
Svenska: Exercisövning vid Ladugårdsgärde, under inspektion av Karl XIV Johan

Olja på duk, 71 x 103 cm. Utförd troligen på 1830-talet av Anders Lundqvist (1803-1853)

I fonden syns den kungliga paviljongen Borgen uppförd 1818 för Karl XIV Johan på en utlöpare av Drottningberget - en triumfpaviljong åt nationens segrande hjälte och monark. Den ritades av kungens favoritarkitekt Fredrik Blom. Paviljongen kröns av ett tält, med unionsflaggan fladdrande för vinden.

I medföljande lapp finns texten: "Övningen inspekteras av Carl XIV Johan, jämnte hans förtrogne Magnus Brahe samt Georg Adlersporre, Carl Johan Adlercreutz och Carl Henrik Ankarsvärd m.fl. vid den stora Riks[.?.] vid Axwalla hed den 26 aug 1812."
