Description
English: Pictured are members of 1 Sqn RAF Regiment starting the innitial day of their HAT training after arriving the day before in Thumbreit, Oman.

During Exercise Saif Sareea 3, Arabic for "Swift Sword 3", UK military personnel trained with Omani Forces. The exercise involved around 5500 UK military personnel and, the joint exercise with Omani Forces, the largest training activity by UK armed forces in the region for nearly 20 years. Saif Sareea 3 was a Tri service exercise including just under a thousand personnel from the RAF who used the opportunity to operate in the air and on the ground with the Omani Air Force, building on an existing strong partnership.
