Description
Français : Ex-voto de madame Riverin
« L'Ex-voto de madame Riverin montre le personnage en prière au pied d'un autel avec ses quatre enfants. Sainte Anne apparaît dans la nuée, un livre à la main. Madame Riverin, restée seule en Nouvelle-France après le départ de son mari pour Paris, avait bien des raisons de solliciter la protection de sainte Anne. Elle a pu aussi réclamer une protection pour la traversée prochaine afin d'aller rejoindre son époux en France. À noter les costumes des enfants, vêtus comme des adultes en miniature, y compris le bonnet à la Fontange porté par les trois filles. » – Madeleine Landry, Robert Derome
