Theywin enthusiastic admiration from all who see them.The flowers are of immense size, often 6 inches across,composed of long, wavy, twisted petals, gracefullyformed into loose, yet densely double, half-globes,resembling some of the finer Japanese Chrysanthe-mums. These giant varieties differ from the older,well-known Comet Asters, not only in bearing muchlarger flowers, but the petals are longer and broader.The plants are of luxuriant growth, attaining aheight of 15 inches, each plant bearing from 20 to 30of these magnificent flowers on long stems, whichgive them an added value for cutting for vases.(See cut.)
