Français : Expositions : Peut-être Salon de 1814, n° 43 : "Eurydice fuyant les poursuites d'Aristée, est piquée par un serpent"
Commentaire : Un tableau d'Antoinette Béfort présenté au Salon de 1810, 'Une jeune thébaine pansant son père blessé', se trouve aujourd'hui dans les collections du Ball State University Museum of Art dans l'Indiana. Un autre témoignage de l'une de ses compositions, représentant 'Thésée et Ariane', est donné par la gravure du Salon de 1812 publiée par C. P. Landon (pl. 46). Le rapprochement entre ces deux tableaux et la présente oeuvre semble plaider en faveur de son attribution à Antoinette Béfort; il pourrait s'agir du tableau "Eurydice fuyant les poursuites d'Aristée, est piquée par un serpent", exposée au Salon de 1814.
