English: Eurasian frequency distributions of Y-chromosome haplogroups C. Haplogroup C, one of the earliest Out-of-Africa founder types, has highest frequencies in the middle latitudes of Asia. It has overwhelming presence among: Oroqens (90.9%), Evens (74.2%), Evenks (68.4%) (Hammer et al., 2005) , Buryats (68.2%), Mongols (65.2%) and Kalmyks (62.6%) (Malyarchuk et al., 2010) . The frequency of haplogroup C decreases in South Asia and diminishes in Europe with only few representatives in the south of the continent. |
