Description
English: The Matsalu National Park is one of the most important wetland and bird areas in Europe and Estonia, due to its key position on the East Atlantic Flyway, an important migratory route. Matsalu Bay, the coastal area of the park, is very shallow, salty and rich in nutrients, and it is key, together with the delta of the Kasari River, for the preservation of the wetland. One of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites captured this image above Estonia on 31 October 2022.
