Description

Wamba, rey godo, sucesor de Recesvinto, vivía tranquilo en sus fincas de la ciu-dad de Gérticos (llamada hoy Wamba en recuerdo suyo) cuando los nobles y obispos deciden proclamarle rey Rechaza la corona por su avanzada edad y, bajo amenazas de muerte, es obligado a aceptarla, siendo ungido rey en Toledo el 20 de octubre del año 672.
