Description
Español: Estatua de mármol de Dionisio con una encarnación antropomorfa del vino, en la exposición La belleza del cuerpo, en el MARQ. Dinioso está representado como un joven afeminado que apoya el brazo izquierdo en el hombro de la encarnación del vino, como figura semihumana sobre la que crecen hojas y uvas. El cuerpo del dios del vino se modeló alargado y esbelto con suaves curvas femeninas, como formulismo tipológico de la época griega de la escultura tardía o «helenística». El brazo que sostiene la copa y otras pequeñas partes están restauradas. Época romana, aproximadamente del 150-200 d. C. Tal vez basada en un original griego del siglo II. a. C. Procedente de La Storta, Italia. Medidas: 1580 mm x 680 mm x 390 mm. GR 1805.0703.1 (Escultura 1636).
