Summary
[edit]El 9 de enero de 1965 la Cámara Municipal de Maracaibo promulgó la ordenanza que readopta como Escudo de Armas el concedido por Felipe IV, rey de España, por real cédula del 20 de junio de 1634.
Tiene campo de escudo español moderno, dos columnas y un navio en medio, como símbolo de la barra. En cada columna hay una banda blanca escrita en letras doradas, la de la izquierda dice "muy noble" y la fecha "1634" y la derecha dice "y leal" y la fecha "1965".
