Français : Le verso de cette photo-carte donne les indications de lieu et de date :
"St Germain du Puy, le 17-10-15 [...] Je vous envoie ma photographie avec tous mes camarades de mon escouade. Nous avons été photographier [sic!] jeudi matin avant une longue marche [...]" Tailleur d'habits, fils de Marien GALLARD et Marie MAGURIER (père de Andrée Maria GALLARD, la déposante). Recruté à Montluçon (département de l'Allier, France), classe 1914, matricule 513. Arrivé au 121e régiment d'infanterie le 07/09/1914. Evacué pour maladie le 11/04/1915 "fièvre scarlatine". Passé au 420e régiment d'infanterie le 15/08/1915, au 421e régiment d'infanterie le 25/08/1915, au 228e régiment d'infanterie 28/08/1916. Blessé et évacué le 05/05/1917 "éclat de grenade à la cuisse gauche". Passé au 21e régiment d'infanterie le 11/11/1917. Disparu, fait prisonnier au combat de Breuil-sur-Vesle (département de la Marne, France) le 28/05/1918. Interné en Allemagne. Rapatrié le 26/01/1919. Démobilisé le 09/09/1919.
