Description
English: Female "Velvet Spider". Family Eresidae, probable Genus Dresserus, or just possibly Gandanameno, which are common in Southern Africa.

Both Dresserus and Gandanameno closely resemble the Genus Eresus, which occurs in the Northern Hemisphere, and both used to be included in Eresus. Size fairly large, perhaps 2 cm. In spite of large chelicerae, inoffensive. Usually sit with legs close to body. Google Earth -34.0488,18.81234
