Deutsch: de:Alexander Dahl machte die erste Aufnahme der Erdkrümmung, aufgenommen aus 11.300 m Höhe. Sie entstand am 31. August 1933 um 14:00 Uhr aus dem offenen Korb des Freiballons Bartsch von Sigsfeld. Der Ballon wurde speziell als Höhenballon mit 9.800 m³ für Wasserstoff-Füllung gebaut.
