English: Banner by Mike Alewitz, 8'x8', painted in Olympia, Washington in 1993. The Banner was painted for "Equal Pay Day," the symbolic date on which the average woman's work year would have to end for her to have earned the same yearly salary as a man due to the pay gap between genders.
