English: The North-Eastern corner of lake Constance is characterized by a microclimate that is extremely favorable for the growth of various fruits. Here is the town of Lindau, the largest city on the Bavarian shore of the lake. Opposite the city, on the opposite shore of the lake is the Rhine Delta .
The old part of the city is located on the island. Here, around 800, count Adalbert von Ratien established a nunnery in gratitude for the lucky escape from danger on the lake. The settlement, due to its favorable geographical position, became rich and in the 13th century received city rights. After Prince Regent Luitpold established his summer residence here in 1848, the aristocracy moved to the city and it became a recognized center for congresses and tourism.. In the 19th century from the materials obtained by dismantling the fortifications of the city was created by the Harbor lighthouse and the obligatory shape of the Bavarian lion.

Deutsch: Die nordöstliche Ecke des Bodensees zeichnet sich durch ein Mikroklima aus, das für das Wachstum verschiedener Früchte äußerst günstig ist. Hier liegt die Stadt Lindau, die größte Stadt am Bayerischen Seeufer. Gegenüber der Stadt, am gegenüberliegenden Ufer des Sees liegt das Rheindelta .
Der alte Teil der Stadt liegt auf der Insel. Hier wurde um 800 von Graf Adalbert von Ratien ein Frauenkloster als Dankeschön für die glückliche Rettung vor der Gefahr am See gegründet. Die Siedlung, Dank der günstigen geographischen Lage Reich und im 13. Nachdem Prinzregent Luitpold 1848 hier seine Sommerresidenz gegründet hatte, zog die Aristokratie in die Stadt und wurde zu einem anerkannten Zentrum für Kongresse und Tourismus.. Hier wurde aus dem bei der Demontage der Stadtbefestigungen erhaltenen Material ein Leuchtturm und die obligatorische Figur des bayerischen Löwen geschaffen. |
