Summary
[edit]DescriptionEntrance to Cedar Park, Cheshunt - geograph.org.uk - 92492.jpg |
English: Entrance to Cedar Park, Cheshunt. Cedar Park is the site of the original Theobalds Mansion, to the east of the present Theobalds. After the death of Lady Meux in 1910, Admiral Sir Hedworth Lambton inherited the estate and it was the Admiral who gave Cedar Park to the town of Cheshunt to commemorate the end of the first world war. It is within the walls of Cedar Park that some of the old Theobalds ruins, now a Scheduled Monument, can be seen today |
