Description
Français : Après une petite marche en forêt, nous voilà dans le haut-lieu de la bourgade : son château médiéval.

Il fut construit au XIIIe siècle par Eberhard d’Andlau et fut habité jusqu'à la toute fin du XVIIIe siècle. Cette porte et ses modernisations à l'artillerie de la Renaissance s'est faite durant le XVIe siècle. On y voit notamment les archères/meurtrières se faire suppléer par des embrasures pour les canons, arquebuses ou autres escopettes.

Nous sommes dans une sous-partie géologique différente de la majorité des autres châteaux vosgiens, en effet, ce n'est pas du grès, mais du granit qui est employé pour la construction (à l'exception de l'encadrement de la porte).
