Description
Español: En agosto se vive la celebración del Cristo Negro, el cual es trasladado en una peregrinación de Hunucmá al puerto de Sisal, donde permanece durante tres semanas.

En ese periodo se lleva a cabo la fiesta del Cristo Negro, y un día antes de que tan distinguido huésped retorne a Hunucmá, decenas de embarcaciones se hacen a la mar y lo siguen en una procesión en lancha. El evento reúne a fieles, principalmente pescadores y sus familias de diversas comunidades de la región.

Este Cristo Negro tiene aproximadamente 90 años y es sustituto del venerado Cristo de los Milagros (también Cristo Negro), el cual se quemó en 1915 y que había sido honrado en el Estado desde el siglo XVII.
