English: Memorial of Hungarian aviators György Endresz and Sándor Magyar of being the first Hungarians to fly non-stop from Harbour Grace, Canada to a field a few miles away from their destination in Hungary in 1931, thus crossing the Atlantic ocean.
The two smaller stones on the left and the right are commemorating the starting and the ending points of the journey with the distance (0km & 5182km) and the (surrounding) names of the places on them. |
