| Description |
English: This image is the micrograph of an unique texture observed in an attempt to align supramolecular aggregates of guanosine 5'-monophosphate molecules forming a liquid crystal phase. The picture is captured imaging the light trasmitted by the birefringent sample through polarized optical microscopy. The zones of the same colour are generated by equioriented aggregates formed through self-assembly processes. |
