Description
Eesti: Elva jaamahoone tänava poolt (Pargi tn 2). Koos raudteejaamaga valmis tüüpprojekti järgi ehitatud ühekorruseline puidust V klassi jaamahoone. Tänu raudteele populaarseks suvituskohaks saanud Elvale jäi jaamahoone aga peagi kitsaks. 20. sajandi alguskümnendeil, tõenäoliselt 1920ndate alguses, pikendati algselt tunduvalt lühemat hoonet mõlemasse otsa lisatud juurdeehitistega, pidades kinni ehitise algsest stiilist. Ühtlasi laiendati ka ootesaali kõrvalruumide arvelt, mis saavutas just siis oma praeguse suuruse. Pikk ristkülikukujulise põhiplaaniga ühekorruseline, poolkelpkatusega rõhtpalkehitis on kaetud profileeritud laudisega. Hoone fassaadidekoor on iseloomulik 19. sajandi lõpu historitsistlikele jaamahoonetele. Hoone on säilinud tänini ja praegu tegutseb seal ka restoran. Alates 1997. aastast on hoone arvel kultuurimälestisena (nr 7133). Hoone algne omanik Eesti Raudtee loovutas vaksalihoone Elva linnale 2004. aastal tasuta. Jaamahoone remonditi põhjalikult aastatel 2006-2007.
