Русский: Портрет императрицы Елизаветы
Портрет Елизаветы Петровны был заказан Екатериной II, решившей поместить его в Портретном зале Большого Царскосельского дворца. Исполнить заказ было поручено немецкому художнику Генриху Бухгольцу (1735-1781), который работал в Петербурге с 1760-х гг. и никогда не видел Елизавету Петровну. В основу своего произведения художник положил композицию большого парадного портрета Елизаветы кисти французского живописца Л. Токе (1758 г.). Соблюдая каноны жанра, Бухгольц создал помпезный портрет со всеми обязательными атрибутами: императорскими регалиями - скипетром в руке и державой на столе, парчовой мантией, расшитой двуглавыми орлами и "подбитой" горностаем, малой короной на голове. Прекрасно передана ткань одежды, кружева, складки на муаровой ленте, сверкающие драгоценности, выглядящие почти осязаемо. Все "доличное" письмо исполнено безупречно, но непосредственно лицо не получалось у живописца, все написанные им варианты отклонялись. Было принято решение сделать в композицию вставку - "вшить" в холст один из портретов Елизаветы, находившихся в мастерской художника Л. Каравака, неоднократно писавшего при жизни императрицы ее изображения. При внимательном рассмотрении в косом свете хорошо виден квадрат вшитого холста. Со временем история создания портрета забылась и на нее обратили внимание члены Художественной комиссии лишь в 1917 г., когда осматривали живопись Екатерининского дворца, преобразовывая его в музей. А.Н. Бенуа, Д.А. Шмидт, П.И. Нерадовский являются авторами этой атрибуции. Среди многочисленных изображений Елизаветы этот холст занимает особое место, поскольку является совместной работой трех живописцев - Л. Токе, Л. Каравака, Г. Бухгольца, считаясь сегодня символом елизаветинской эпохи. Портрет обрамляет великолепная резная золоченая рама - она является драгоценной оправой для изображения хозяйки дворца и, глядя на него, начинает казаться, что сама Елизавета, сверкающая бриллиантами, в роскошном платье появляется перед своими многочисленными гостями в струящихся золотой резьбой дверях парадной анфилады сказочного прекрасного Царскосельского дворца. |
