On the twenty-fourth of the month ground wasfirst broken by the contracting firm doing the work, and onthe twenty-third of the following month the building wasfinished and the manufacturers machinery was being installed,all in 29 calendar days, without night or Sunday work andwith a half holiday on Saturday for the skilled labor.
