Notes | A copy of a painting in the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. Possibly a postmortem portrait of Anna Vasa (1568-1625), daughter of King John III of Sweden and starost of Brodnica from 1605 or Anna Catherine Constance Vasa (1619-1651), daughter of King Sigismund III of Poland and starost of Brodnica from 1632. The sitter's costume is typical for Sweden in the 1630s, hence possibly depicting an unknown Swedish lady. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
