Summary

Description
English: On Díaz Vélez street, still unpaved and towards Av. Maipú, a few meters from the intersection of Rioja street, there was the Palomar de los Anchorena or misnamed Palomar de Urquiza and on it, but before reaching Winenberg street, was the town of the house that the Gandini family leased from 1870 to 1947, to Juan Esteban de Anchorena and his wife Carola Benítez Ortega, which stretched from Díaz Vélez to Debenedetti and from Rawson to Av. Maipú, as well as the shed used for storage and sale of vegetables and on Winenberg, almost bordering on Díaz Vélez, the Australian tank for washing and subsequent conditioning of the merchandise, which in large part was taken three times a week to the Spinetto market and once a week to the supply, where it was sold to wholesalers. On the front of this newsletter we see a photo that shows how the place was then, this photo was taken on June 1, 1947, by Don Mario Tolini, a well-remembered neighbor belonging to one of the pioneer families of the La Lucila neighborhood, it was taken with a Kodak machine called "Cajoncito", from the terrace of the first floor of the building that existed on the northwest corner of Rawson and Díaz Vélez streets, owned by his parents, now demolished. In its place there is another much more recent one with a series of commercial premises on both streets.
