Description

De los grandes puentes en arco se inscribe el de Ricobayo, una estructura mixta de arco de acero relleno de hormigón con la que se han construido muy pocos arcos en España y en el mundo. El arco de Ricobayo, Zamora, es además el mayor arco de metal de Europa.

La empresa Ferrovial-Agroman, comienza en mayo de 1993, la construcción de un puente metálico de un solo arco, resultando esbelto y majestoso con 168 m.

Asentado sobre las paredes graníticas de ambos lados del embalse Ricobayo formando un viaducto de 220 m. de largo y a 24 m. sobre las aguas. En junio de 1995 fue inaugurado.
