Deutsch: Südostansicht des Schlosses Leopoldstein in Münichtal, ein Ortsteil der österreichischen Stadt Eisenerz im steirischen Bezirk Leoben.
Zwischen 1666 und 1670 ließ Kammergraf Leopold Freiherr von Neidthardt zu Spathenbrunn das sogenannten „Saurießlgut“ zu einem Schloß ausbauen und gab zu Ehren Kaiser Leopold ihm den Namen „Schloss Leopoldstein“. Nachdem um 1880 das Anwesen in den Besitz von Prinz Arnulf von Bayern gelangte, ließ dieser nach dem Vorbild der bayrischen Königsschlösser es zwischen 1890 und 1895 im historisierenden Stil umbauen. Aktuell (2015) wird es als Jugendsporthaus des Landes Steiermark genutzt. |
