Description
English: Ecuador: Roadside Equator monument (terrestrial globe) located SW of the city of Cayambe. But in fact, the Equator is located some 120 m to the north of the line drawn at this spot. A new monument was recently (?2009) created across the street on the 'true' Euator line.
Français : Équateur : monument (globe terrestre) sur la ligne de l'équateur terrestre, au SO de fr:Cayambe. En réalité, l'équateur est situé à quelque 120 m au nord de cet endroit, où récemment (?2009) un nouveau monument a été érigé sur le 'vrai' équateur terrestre.
