Description |
English: Map of Maximum Manageable Area (MMA) The Ecklund Complex consisted of three wildland fires ignited by lightning on July 15, 2001 which burned approximately 3243 acres. The fires were located within the administrative boundaries of BLM-Little Snake Field Office, NPS-Dinosaur National Monument and FWS-Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge. Management actions taken on the fires included efforts to reduce the vulnerability to fire of structures on federal and private lands. Management of this wildland fire use event is apparently the first effort in recent years that involved multiple federal agencies, county government and private landowners.
