Description
Deutsch: Die Eckert'schen Arbeiterwohnhäuser in der Rigaer Straße 71–73 in Berllin-Friedrichshain wurden erbaut 1875/1876 aus Schlackebeton auf 'Veranlassung des Landmaschinenfabrikanten Heinrich Ferdinand Eckert für die Arbeiter seiner Ziegelei (Eckertsche Mühle). 1878–1883 beherbergten sie die Friedrichsberger Volksschule. 1887 wurden sie durch einen Zwischenbau verbunden und dienten der Möbelfabrik Robert Seelisch als Büro- und Ausstellungsräume. Daneben steht die alte Fabrikmauer der Möbelfabrik mit dem Tor von vor 1895. Ab 2016 erfolgte der Abriss, um Platz zu schaffen für die Wohn- und Gewerbeanlage Carré Sama-Riga. Von 2014–2016 waren die Eckert'schen Arbeiterwohnhäuser denkmalgeschützt.
