Summary
[edit]DescriptionEaton cemetery - geograph.org.uk - 1101709.jpg |
English: Eaton cemetery When the churchyard became full in the 19th century a new cemetery was provided on Vicarage Lane between the Castle Inn and the vicarage. These are some of the older gravestones and, unfortunately, because of the fashion for stone memorials, many of the inscriptions have become so eroded that they are impossible to read. Many of the earlier gravestones in the churchyard are made of slate which weathers much better. |
