Description
English: An intense cold wave affected parts of Europe in the last days of November 2021. The United Kingdom and the Scandinavian peninsula were particularly affected. This image, acquired by one of the Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellites, shows the Nikkaluokta area in Sweden on the same day that a temperature of -37.4°C was recorded, the lowest temperature at this time of year since 1980. The Copernicus satellites and Services provide open data that allow us to study the climate worldwide and develop mitigation measures for extreme events.

  3. Where that data or information has been adapted or modified, the user shall clearly state this.

GMES dedicated data and GMES service information are provided to users without any express or implied warranty, including as regards quality and suitability for any purpose.
