Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy small-long brooch of Early-Medieval date. The head is square in plan with lobed knops protruding from threes edges. From the centre of the lower edge of the head plate a D-sectioned arched bow extends terminating in a worn break. The broken and worn remains of a hinged pin mechanism remain on the centre of the reverse of the head though the pin proper no longer remains. The remains of a catchplate are also present on the lower portion of the bow.
