English: A complete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver penny of Edward the Martyr (975-978), minted by Aelfstan at Canterbury, c. 975-978; North 763. Ref: North 1994: 157-158.

Obverse: +EADPEARD REX ANGLORX (DP blundered, NG and ORX ligated); Diademed bust left.

Reverse: +ÆLFSTAN M‾O CANT; Small cross pattée.

Diameter: 19.5mm. Weight: 1.47g. DA=12:3.
