Description |
English: In the 1890s, John McGilvra developed Madison Park at the end of his trolley line. Around 1900, Seattleites could swim, rent boats, and buy refreshments at the Eagle Bath House and Boat House. The park also had piers, bandstands, gardens, a dance pavilion, and a promenade. This photo, taken around 1900, shows the Eagle Bath and Boat House and the paths through the gardens.
