| Description |
Español: Las ramas que están sobre el escudo hace alusión al cuidado que debemos tener con la naturaleza ya que este territorio es muy rico en su vegetación.
El cuadro superior izquierdo: representa la riqueza y productividad de la tierra Peñonéra y el laborioso trabajo de cada campesino que día a día trabaja en ella. El cuadro superior derecho: simboliza el poder económico y el progreso que tiene el Municipio de El Peñón. El cuadro inferior izquierdo: realza la parte artístico musical y por supuesto el torbellino como aire musical autóctono de la región y rescatando las tradiciones artísticas de sus antepasados. El cuadro inferior derecho: exalta la belleza de sus paisajes verdes, la majestuosidad del cerro de Panamá y la imponente vista del Cerro e Zaruque, además representa su riqueza en fuentes hídricas. Las dos banderas que penden a los lados son los colores representativos del Municipio El Peñón Santander. |
