A l'origine, deux frères s’associent en 1947 et fondent à Bree, localité flamande de 15 000 hab. à une dizaine de km des Pays-Bas, une entreprise de carrosserie industrielle portant simplement leur nom: Lambert & Arnold Geusens (LAG). Ils se spécialisent dans les semi-remorques et citernes avant de bifurquer, bien plus tard, vers le transport en commun. Trajectoire quasi identique à celle tracée par le voisin Van Hool, qui reprend en 1990 cette branche devenue EOS... Long de 13,6 m pour une hauteur de 3.8 m, le 233 peut être comparé à son cousin T917 Altano. Tous deux sont propulsés par des blocs M.A.N. développant plus de 295 kW. |
