Description
Français : L'édification de l'église Saint-Maurice s'est achevée au terme de plusieurs campagnes de travaux. La nef, d'époque romane, est la partie la plus ancienne encore en place. A la fin du 15ème siècle, un choeur de style gothique a été ajouté. Le clocher-porche a été installé autour de 1547 en avant de la nef. Celle-ci fut réaménagée au 17ème siècle. Le bénitier présent dans le revers gauche du mur occidental porte la date de 1680 et certaines baies murées de la nef remontent probablement à cette période. Au 19ème siècle, un important décor fut mis en place. Depuis la fin du 19ème siècle, le choeur présente des désordres importants qui mettent en péril sa stabilité. Cette partie de l'église est fermée au public depuis les années 1930. (source : Mérimée)
English: The construction of the Saint-Maurice church was completed after several work campaigns. The nave, Romanesque, is the oldest part still in place. At the end of the 15th century, a Gothic choir was added. The bell tower was installed around 1547 in front of the nave. It was refitted in the 17th century. The font in the left lapel of the western wall bears the date of 1680 and some walled bays of the nave probably date back to this period. In the 19th century, an important decoration was set up. Since the end of the 19th century, the choir has major disorders that jeopardize its stability. This part of the church has been closed to the public since the 1930s. (Source: Mérimée)
