Summary

[edit]
Description Low tide at Miyajimacho Island, and many tourists are frolicking on the beach, including on those parts which will be submerged a few minutes later during high tide. We are just a few steps away from the Itsukushima shrine, parts of which get partially submerged- the base portion I mean- during high tide, hence giving the temple the name of floating temple. Sadly, I did not have the luxury of time, as I had a train to catch back at Hiroshima station- a good nearly hour and a half away- and so I had to satisfy myself with this view at low tide and then rush off back to Hiroshima station. t(Hiroshima,Japan, Apr/ May 2019)
