Summary
[edit]DescriptionDurango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (39938585813).jpg |
This 3 ft (914 mm) narrow-gauge heritage railroad operates between Durango and Silverton in the Rockies of Colorado. For 45 miles (73 Km) it follows the Animas River through great scenery. Part of the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was made on this line. The route has been open since 1882 and was originally used to take gold and silver ore out from the mountains. Today it takes day-trippers on a fun ride. Wishing to have a good depth of field and a high shutter speed due to movement of the coach I had to use a high ISO of 1600 but fortunately the resulting image was OK. |
