English: Dupka, a thick protein-rich soup with dumplings made from lentils such as gahat (horse gram), kalo maas (black lentils), is the most popular and iconic food. The soaked lentils are ground together with spices forming a paste, which is made into dumplings and cooked into a thick soup with spices and some lentil paste. The chuk (concentrated Nepali lemon juice) or lemon juice is also added. This is popular in far-western region of Nepal.
