Summary
[edit]DescriptionDrawing a twisted-arrow ribbon.jpg |
English: Drawing a realistic-looking twisted-arrow ribbon (as used in ribbon diagrams of protein 3D structures). The simple monocular view (left) looks wrong. The simulation of a binocular view that shows both sides of the ribbon near the turnover (right) looks better, presumably because it imitates what you would see with both eyes. [This is a photograph of a 1984 pen-and-ink hand drawing, by Jane Richardson.] |
