This is not what is generally known as Dragonscale to most maille makers. The commonly known Dragonscale can be seen here: http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay.php?key=11 The smaller rings lie in the opposite direction to the larger ones.
The weave described above would be more commonly known as King's Scale http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay.php?oldkey=157 or another variant Emperor's Scale http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay.php?oldkey=6631
