Description
Nederlands: Dr. Hermann Conring (1894-1989), Duits ambtenaar en CDU-politicus in de Bondsdag. Van 1940 tot 1945 was Conring in de provincie Groningen als gemachtigde van Rijkscommissaris Arthur Seyss-Inquart de hoogste Duitse bestuurder. Vanaf 1 mei 1943 was hij tevens expliciet belast met de openbare orde in die province. In die extra taak legde Conring verantwoording af aan Friedrich Wimmer, de 'Generalkommissar für Verwaltung und Justiz' in het bezette Nederland.
English: Dr. Hermann Conring (1894-1989), German official and CDU politician in the Bundestag. From 1940 to 1945, Conring was the highest German official in the Dutch province of Groningen, as the representative of Reichskommissar Arthur Seyss-Inquart. After 1 May 1943 he was also explicitly in charge of public order in that province. In this extra task Conring accounted to Friedrich Wimmer, the 'Generalkommissar für Verwaltung und Justiz' in the occupied Netherlands.
Deutsch: Dr. Hermann Conring (1894-1989), deutscher Verwaltungsbeamter und CDU-Politiker im Bundestag. Von 1940 bis 1945 war Conring der höchste deutsche Beamter in der niederländischen Provinz Groningen, als Beauftragter des Reichskommissars Arthur Seyss-Inquart. Nach dem 1. Mai 1943 war er auch ausdrücklich verantwortlich für die öffentliche Ordnung in dieser Provinz. In dieser Nebenaufgabe war Conring der Untergebene von Friedrich Wimmer, der Generalkommissars für Verwaltung und Justiz in den besetzten Niederlanden.
