English: Dick Arnold (left), father of NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold, smiles with a student from South River High School in Edgewater, Maryland.
On April 19, 2018, Maryland students from 11 Anne Arundel County Public Schools participated in a STEM assembly. The half-day event included NASA exhibits, robotic demonstrations, presentations and a 20-minute downlink with the International Space Station. NASA astronauts Drew Feustel and Ricky Arnold, a Maryland native, answered students’ questions about life aboard the space station and NASA’s deep space exploration plans. The event was part of NASA’s Year of Education on Station. Credit: NASA/Goddard/Bill Hrybyk NASA image use policy.
