Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4B Skyhawk (BuNo 142874) of attack squadron VA-22 Det.R Fighting Redcocks on deck of the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CVS-33), in 1964. Four Skyhawks were assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 53 (CVSG-53) for self defence, but were later also used for attack missions over Vietnam.
