English: A Douglas A-1J Skyraider (Construction Number 11552, U.S. Navy BuNo 142072, U.S.A.F. Number 52-142072) at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum, Don Mueang International Airport, Thailand, in 2012. This aircraft was accepted by the U.S. Navy on 28 January 1957. It was retired on 27 February 1968 and passed to the U.S. Air Force as 52-142072. It was damaged on mission in December 1968 and made gear-up landing at Udorn RTAF. It was then written off and put on display. Some sources say that it was repaired with parts from different aircraft. |
