Deutsch: Standort: vor dem Detmolder Rathaus, Der Brunnen zeigt eine Waldnymphe mit Rehen und wurde als Plastik der Romantik von dem Dresdner Meister Hölbe 1901 errichtet. Auguste von Donop stiftete diesen Brunnen, Die Stifterin ist eine geborene von Antze: Als im Jahre 1883 in Detmold Auguste von Donop, geborene Antze, starb, war ihr Mann, der Hofjägermeister Franz von Donop, schon viele Jahre tot. Nach dem von ihr bereits 1875 aufgesetzten Testament hatte sie ihr Vermögen der Stadt Detmold, der sozialen Einrichtung der Paulinenanstalt, dem städtischen Armenfonds und dem fürstlichen Konsistorium vermacht. Ein bedeutender Betrag war für die Stadt Detmold bestimmt, verbunden mit der Auflage, einen Brunnen zu errichten: „Da der hiesige Magistrat beabsichtigt, zum Nutzen der Stadt eine Wasserleitung anzulegen, so soll unter dieser Voraussetzung zunächst eine Summe von 6000 Thl. dem Magistrate übergeben werden, mit der Bestimmung, daß das Kapital zur Errichtung eines monumentalen, künstlerisch verzierten Brunnens auf dem Marktplatze verwandt werden soll.“*2 *2 Abschrift des Testamentes von Auguste von Donop vom 24.
