Description The original medal (medallion) of the mayors of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. It is dated 1772, and was sold to Doncaster by retailer Robert Makepeace, of Lincoln's Inn Fields, London. The goldsmith is unknown. The original medal is as of 2024 in the archives of Cusworth Hall Museum, Doncaster, to be seen by appointment only. (The current mayors wear a modern medallion with the updated coat of arms).
